  1. Set up table in garage or backyard on top of a large drop cloth. You may want to cover surrounding area with drop cloths as well. (You never know ….)
  2. If table is bare wood or already sporting a dark coat of paint, you may want to apply the Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra Cover 2X Primer Spray. Follow application tips and drying times on can. This extra step is totally up to you!
  3. If possible, remove table legs. Otherwise, cover the legs with plastic wrap and masking tape to protect from overspray.
  4. Call in the little ones to watch you apply the Rust-Oleum® Specialty Chalkboard Black paint to tabletop. Follow application tips and drying times on can.
  5. Mask tabletop with masking tape and plastic wrap. Apply a Rust-Oleum® Painter's® Touch Ultra Cover 2X Satin Spray color of your choice to legs. Follow application tips and drying times on can.
  6. 24 hours after painting, rub side of chalk over entire chalkboard top and erase before using chalkboard. Use only calcium carbonate chalk and felt erasers. This important step will allow you to always start with a clean slate.
  7. Have a seat with your favorite little person and decide who's X's and who's O's and enjoy a game of tic-tac-toe on your favorite new table.
